As International Business Developer you will support business development in our key markets Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany. You will play a crucial role in our efforts to scale and replicate the valorisation of large assets within the dynamic “Large Asset” team. Your expertise will be important in accelerating business growth in the field of BEES projects and the decarbonisation of the heat demand in industry (e-boilers and thermal storage) while you support the international teams with pricing and deal structuring (e.g. for wind power cPPAs) and optimizing contracts to secure long-term sustainable profitability. Additionally, you will be involved in strategic discussions e.g. around the development of a cross-country market access platform.

This is what you like

  • Lead or support large asset deals in sectors such as batteries and industry Combined Heat and Power (CHPs).
  • Conduct value assessments, structure deals, and negotiate contracts.
  • Optimize existing contracts and enhance ongoing deals.
  • Collaborate with international local teams to support pricing and risk assessment efforts.
  • Manage key accounts for large clients and industry players.
  • Mentor junior team members in market analysis, deal design, and negotiation techniques.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with industry players
  • Align product development initiatives with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to projects within the International Business Development Unit, including designing a cross-country market access platform.

These are your qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the electricity sector (e.g., deal structuring, asset evaluation, flexibility trading)
  • Master’s degree in technical or scientific studies, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with sales and negotiation expertise
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level) and at least C2 in two other languages (DE, NL, FR, PL).
  • Location: Brussels or Cologne
  • Programming knowledge, particularly in Python, is a plus.
